Renndrive On the Beach - day 2&3 June 2024

We began day 2 after (an overly heavy buffet) breakfast - a tactical error on my part. Thankfully due to adverse weather conditions, speeds were dampened and it was a leisurely drive to our first stop, The Sea Light Cafe on the West Coast, overlooking the Andaman Sea.

We had a special lunch stop planned for today. Our next stop was Ao Por Pier, and taking a 15minute boat ride out to Nakha Noi to NINA Beach Camp.

The trip leader obtained special permission for all the cars to park on the pier itself, which was convenient. We alighted from our cars, grabbed our beachwear bags and jumped onto the boat to head out to Nakha Noi.

Measuring at about 20 acres in size, Naka Noi is a privately owned island that is able to host guests beachside for events. Our buffet lunch was a variety Thai dishes, with fresh fish and prawns sourced around the island waters. The island caretakers push off in small boats each morning to catch and prepare their day's meals.

The Renndrive Crew make it compulsory to have fun - and to this effect, the island's new boat was brought out for scenic rides around the island. One of the drive members is a qualified boat skipper, and he decided to test the capabilities of this Brabus Shadow 500. Needless to say, I required no further adrenaline experience once we returned to shore.

At about 6pm, we hopped back onto the boat to return to the mainland, and completed our final sector to Pullman Naithon Beach to conclude this epic roadtrip.

On behalf of the Malaysian contingent, I would like to express our deepest, heartfelt thanks to Renndrive Thailand for their incredible warmth, hospitality and fantastic adventuring together. Till next time!
